The spokesperson for Yemen’s Houthis has announced that the group carried out large-scale missile strikes against what it described as “sensitive targets of the Israeli enemy” in the occupied area of Jaffa.
Yahya Saree, spokesperson for the Yemeni Armed Forces, said in a statement posted today on his X (formerly Twitter) account that the missile attacks accurately hit pre-determined targets.
He added that a complete and comprehensive ban on Israeli maritime traffic in the Red Sea is being enforced, and that all Israeli movements in this waterway are considered legitimate targets for Yemeni armed forces.
The statement further noted that any escalation by Israel will be met with a reciprocal response and an intensification of military operations.
The Houthis’ spokesperson also said: “All enemy efforts will fail, and our operations will continue as long as the aggression and blockade against us and the axis of jihad and resistance continue.”
