U.S. President Donald Trump has said that after calm and stability are established, the United States will obtain and eliminate Iran’s “remaining nuclear material or residue.” He added that this action could be carried out either inside Iran or in the United States.
Trump wrote on his Truth Social account: “Once everything calms down, the United States will obtain the remaining nuclear material, dilute it, and destroy it, whether it is in Iran or in the United States.”
He further stated that Washington is ready to cooperate with Iran and all countries in the Middle East in the coming years, saying: “We are eager to work with Iran and the entire Middle East region for many years to come.”
The U.S. president expressed hope that the process would move forward “quickly, easily, and peacefully,” but warned that if diplomatic efforts fail, Washington has other options.
Trump said: “If this process is not successful, we also have a final option — an option I hope we will never need to use again.”
These remarks come at a time when tensions over Iran’s nuclear program remain one of the main points of disagreement between Tehran and Washington, with regional and global concerns continuing about the future of the issue.
