India’s aviation authority has launched an investigation into an incident in which a passenger aircraft belonging to India briefly entered the airspace of Pakistan while approaching Amritsar airport. According to reports, the incident occurred due to bad weather, a possible bird strike, and a change in the flight route. Following coordination between the air traffic control authorities of India and Pakistan, the aircraft returned to Delhi and landed safely. India’s aviation authority has suspended the duties of the pilots involved, as well as an air traffic controller at Amritsar airport, pending the completion of the investigation.
