Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has said that Israel must not be allowed to undermine or derail the agreement between the United States and Iran.
Speaking at a joint press conference with Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in Istanbul, Erdogan stated that no lasting solution to the region’s crises can be achieved without the participation of regional countries.
He accused Israel of attempting to sabotage the agreement between Washington and Tehran, saying: “We are closely monitoring the Israeli government’s efforts to destroy the U.S.-Iran agreement. The current Israeli government, which is inclined toward war, must not be allowed to once again plunge the region into the smell of gunpowder and bloodshed.”
The Turkish president also once again condemned Israel’s military attacks on Gaza, Lebanon, and Syria, asserting that the Israeli government is seeking to further escalate tensions across the region.
