Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has announced that the country’s naval and aerospace forces targeted 85 major U.S. military bases in Bahrain and Kuwait with missile and drone attacks.
In a statement issued on Wednesday (17 Saratan), the IRGC said the action was carried out in response to what it called a violation of the ceasefire by the United States and followed U.S. attacks on southern Iran.
The IRGC added that the U.S. Fifth Fleet base in Bahrain and the Ali Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait were among the sites targeted in the operation.
Earlier, the United States had announced that it carried out strikes on more than 80 targets along Iran’s southern coast in response to attacks on commercial vessels in the Strait of Hormuz.
