The Iranian military has announced that it carried out a series of drone strikes against U.S. military positions in Kuwait and Bahrain in response to what it described as continued U.S. attacks on areas in southern Iran.
In a statement, the Iranian military said the operation involved explosive drones targeting a Patriot air defense system, an ammunition depot, and a radar site used by the U.S. military in Kuwait.
According to the statement, a second wave of attacks also targeted a U.S. communications system and a radar site in Bahrain.
Iranian officials said the operation was conducted in retaliation for ongoing U.S. attacks on areas in southern Iran.
