The Ministry of Refugees and Repatriation of the Islamic Emirate has announced that the draft asylum law in Afghanistan has been finalized and will soon be submitted to the Ministry of Justice for legal procedures.
The ministry wrote on its X account on Wednesday (24 Saratan) that a finalization meeting for the law was held under the chairmanship of Abdul Rahman Rashid, the ministry’s deputy for professional affairs, with the participation of representatives from the Ministries of Interior, Foreign Affairs, Justice, the Supreme Court, and the General Directorate of Intelligence.
According to the ministry, the asylum law has been drafted while considering the religious and Islamic rights of migrants, and its purpose is to establish a legal framework that enables eligible individuals to benefit from the right to asylum in Afghanistan.
