A high-level delegation from Afghanistan’s Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock, led by Deputy Minister Mawlawi Sadr Azam Osmani, has departed for Europe on an official visit at the invitation of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry of the Republic of Moldova.
According to the ministry, the visit will continue until August 7 and aims to expand agricultural, scientific, and technical cooperation between Afghanistan and Moldova.
During the visit, the delegation is scheduled to hold technical meetings and discussions with Moldovan officials and experts on plant protection, integrated pest management, pheromone technology, agricultural research, commercial orchard management, and the application of modern agricultural technologies.
The Ministry of Agriculture stated that the outcomes of the visit are expected to facilitate the transfer of advanced European expertise, strengthen agricultural research, support farmers, improve the quality of agricultural products, and contribute to the modernization of Afghanistan’s agricultural sector.
