The European Union has allocated €11 million to strengthen livestock services, improve animal health, and support food security in Afghanistan.
According to the European Union Delegation to Afghanistan, the program will be implemented across 17 provinces and is expected to benefit approximately 300,000 households.
The delegation stated that the funding aims to strengthen the livestock sector, expand veterinary services, improve animal health, and enhance communities’ resilience to the impacts of climate change.
The European Union added that the assistance will support the livelihoods of vulnerable communities, improve food security, and contribute to strengthening the economic resilience of rural households across Afghanistan.
