Donald Trump, the President of the United States, has once again stressed that Iran must not obtain nuclear weapons.
Trump wrote today, Monday, August 17 (26 Asad), on the social media platform Truth Social: “The number one goal is, and always will be, that Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon in any way, shape, or form.”
This position is consistent with Trump’s previous statements regarding Iran’s nuclear program. The White House has also previously said that the U.S. president has repeatedly emphasized preventing Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons.
The remarks come as Iran’s nuclear issue remains one of the main points of disagreement between Washington and Tehran, while talks and diplomatic efforts to resolve the issue have faced difficulties.
