The media office of the Panjshir provincial administration says that during the first five months of the current year, more than 300,000 families and 200 foreign tourists visited the province’s recreational and historical sites and natural attractions.
According to the office, the local authorities in Panjshir have launched several programs to develop the tourism industry and provide better facilities for visitors.
The provincial administration also says plans are underway to construct a dedicated hotel for tourists, while the Panjshir Municipality has planned projects worth 40 million Afghanis to improve urban facilities.
According to the statement, Panjshir Governor Mohammad Agha Hakim has emphasized attracting investment to the province and developing the tourism industry.
