Khalifa Sirajuddin Haqqani, Acting Minister of Interior of the Islamic Emirate, has met with Hamad bin Khamis Al-Kaabi, Deputy Secretary of Qatar’s National Security Council, for talks.
The Ministry of Interior said today (Thursday, September 17) in a statement on its X account that the meeting focused on further expanding relations between Afghanistan and Qatar, improving engagement with Afghanistan, and Qatar’s constructive role in the international community.
According to the statement, the two sides also emphasized the importance of continued engagement and cooperation between Afghanistan and Qatar.
The meeting comes a day after Sirajuddin Haqqani met with Ibrahim Kalin, head of Türkiye’s National Intelligence Organization, where they also discussed matters of mutual interest.
