Officials from the Uzbek Exporters Association in Balkh province have said that trade between Afghanistan and Uzbekistan exceeded $2 billion in the first eight months of 2026.
They said the value of trade between the two countries was around $800 million in 2024, which increased to $1.85 billion in 2025.
Meanwhile, officials from the Balkh Chamber of Commerce and Investment consider the increase in trade between Afghanistan and Uzbekistan important for supplying the country with essential goods, controlling prices, and preventing hoarding.
