Officials from the Agriculture Department of Badakhshan stated that the Suo (Suo) office, in collaboration with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and their coordination, organized a special educational program for 800 farmers in the Ashkasham and Darayem districts of this province to strengthen agricultural capacities.
Mawlawi Amanullah Hassan, the head of agriculture, irrigation, and livestock in Badakhshan, mentioned that the Suo office, aiming to continue its activities and improve agricultural production, launched this special educational program on wheat cultivation and farming after distributing improved wheat seeds and chemical fertilizers to the farmers in these two districts.
According to him, the goal of this educational program is to equip farmers with new skills in wheat cultivation and farming, enabling them to use modern methods to enhance the quantity and quality of wheat production.
It is worth mentioning that this initiative is part of the joint programs of the Suo office and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) to enhance agricultural capacities and improve the livelihoods of farmers in the remote areas of Badakhshan.
