A senior Russian military official has claimed that Russian forces have taken control of 800 square kilometers of territory from Ukrainian forces in the western part of Krasnohorivka.
General Sergey Rudskoy, the head of Russia’s General Staff’s special operations, stated in an interview with a newspaper that Russia has made progress on all fronts of the war, and since February 2024, Ukraine has been forced into a defensive posture due to Russia’s large-scale offensive.
He mentioned that Russian forces have seized significant territories.
Rudskoy added that Russia now controls 75% of the Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson regions, and more than 99% of the Luhansk region.
He further emphasized that these four regions are now legally part of Russia and will never be returned to Ukraine.
