Afghan national cricket team’s young and talented fast bowler, Allah Mohammad Ghaznfar, has been ruled out of the ICC Champions Trophy competition. According to reports from the concerned doctors, during the match against Zimbabwe, he fractured the left side of his L4 vertebra, which, despite treatment, still leaves him struggling with the injury. As per the doctor’s recommendation, Ghaznfar will remain out of all competitions for at least four months and will be undergoing treatment during this period.

It is worth mentioning that in Ghaznfar’s place, Nangyal Kharoti, who had previously been part of the reserve players, has been added to the main squad for the Champions Trophy. Additionally, another key fast bowler from the national team, Mujeeb Rahman, is also not fit to participate in the one-day matches and, according to the doctor’s advice, will remain sidelined for a period of time.
