A program to commemorate the birth anniversaries of Amir Ali Shir Nawai and Zahiruddin Babur, as well as to recognize their scientific and cultural contributions, was held by Uzbek intellectuals in Badakhshan.

Masoud Timor, an Uzbek cultural activist and one of the organizers of the event, pointed out that the purpose of this event was to honor the great figures of history and culture of the land. He added that Amir Ali Shir Nawai and Zahiruddin Babur each played a crucial role in shaping the cultural identity of the country and should be regarded as role models for the advancement of science and culture.

Meanwhile, a number of poets and writers in Badakhshan spoke about the importance of science and culture in today’s society and also expressed their admiration for these historical figures.

Abdul Qadir Kaskin, one of the poets and writers of the Uzbek language in Badakhshan, stated that literature and poetry are essential tools for the advancement of culture and societal awareness. He said that figures like Nawai and Babur, as symbols of culture and knowledge, should always be remembered.

Local government officials in Badakhshan also emphasized the importance of preserving and enhancing culture in their speeches. According to them, the local government is always striving not only to remember the history and culture of the country through such programs but also to support them and create opportunities for the cultural growth and progress of future generations.

It is worth mentioning that every year in Badakhshan, the birth anniversaries and the scientific and cultural achievements of great figures like Amir Ali Shir Nawai and Zahiruddin Babur are commemorated by Uzbek intellectuals.
