The Directorate of Borders, Tribes, and Ethnic Affairs of Kunduz, in collaboration with the UNAMA office, organized a discourse on the role of community councils in fostering governance and inclusive development. The event was attended by 30 officials from local government offices, tribal elders, and religious scholars from the center and districts of the province.
During the session, participants discussed various programs, opportunities, strengths, and challenges related to governance and balanced development across the province. They emphasized the significant role of community and tribal councils in strengthening sustainable peace and resolving conflicts.

Tribal elders also shared their perspectives on the existing challenges and opportunities in Kunduz, urging the government to pay greater attention to the fundamental needs of the people—especially in the sectors of security, education, and infrastructure.
Meanwhile, Kunduz local officials elaborated on government policies and initiatives aimed at improving governance and fostering ethnic participation. They welcomed public cooperation in implementing development projects, highlighting the importance of collective efforts for sustainable progress.
