The World Bank has announced that after the conclusion of the conflict between Israel and Hamas, over $50 billion will be needed for the reconstruction of Gaza.

Following a joint assessment with the United Nations and the European Union, the bank stated that rebuilding Gaza will require 10 years and $53.2 billion in funding.

The World Bank further added that $20 billion will be needed in the first three years for the reconstruction of various parts of Gaza.

During nearly 16 months of conflict between Israel and Hamas, in addition to tens of thousands of Palestinian casualties, nearly all infrastructure and homes in Gaza have been destroyed.

According to statistics provided by the Palestinian Ministry of Health, over 48,000 Palestinians have been killed and 111,722 injured during the more than 15 months of fighting between Israel and Hamas.
