Abdul Rahman Habib, the spokesperson for the Acting Government’s Ministry of Economy, says that since the beginning of the current solar year, 134 domestic and foreign institutions have been granted operating licenses.
He adds that among the institutions that have received operating licenses this year, five are foreign.
According to the Ministry of Economy’s spokesperson, these institutions are active in various sectors, including education, disaster response, social protection, and other areas.
Previously, Abdul Latif Nazari, the Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Economy, had stated that following the suspension of U.S. financial aid to Afghanistan, the activities of 50 foreign institutions in 28 provinces had been halted.
Based on the latest statistics provided by the Ministry, there are currently 2,608 domestic and foreign institutions operating in various sectors in Afghanistan.
