Iran’s religious leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, stated on Saturday (March 8) that Tehran will not accept negotiations under the “coercion” of pressure.
He made these remarks one day after U.S. President Donald Trump said he had sent a letter to the Iranian religious leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, regarding negotiations on the nuclear deal.
Trump, in an interview with Fox Business Network, said: “There are two paths for a deal with Iran: military and diplomatic, both of which aim to prevent Tehran from obtaining nuclear weapons.”
Khamenei, in a meeting with senior Iranian officials, said that the aim of Washington’s offer for talks was to impose its own demands.
