The Ministry of Refugees and Repatriation has announced that 230 Afghan citizens have been released from Pakistani prisons and have returned to Afghanistan.
In a statement today (Sunday, 4th Jawza), the ministry said that these individuals had been detained by Pakistani police in various regions of the country and were held in prison for one to two days.
According to information from the Registration and Reception Department of Refugees in Spin Boldak, after their release, the 230 individuals received humanitarian assistance at border points and were then transferred to their home cities and districts.
The Ministry further stated that since the beginning of the second phase of the deportation of Afghan migrants from Pakistan, a total of 4,414 individuals have been released from Pakistani prisons and have returned to Afghanistan.
