The Ministry of Refugees and Repatriation of the Islamic Emirate has said that 491 Afghan citizens have been released from prisons in Pakistan.
The ministry wrote in a statement on X today (Thursday, 17 Thawr / 7 May) that these Afghan citizens returned to Afghanistan during the past week through the Spin Boldak border crossing in Kandahar and the Torkham crossing in Nangarhar.
The Ministry of Refugees and Repatriation added that the released individuals had been imprisoned in Pakistan due to a lack of legal documents.
