In the first three months of 1404 (Solar Hijri calendar), Iran’s non-oil exports to Afghanistan exceeded $510 million, making Afghanistan the fifth-largest export destination for Iran.
Bilateral trade between the two countries reached $3.2 billion in 2024, reflecting an 84% increase.
Iran’s main exports included oil, steel, food products, and construction materials, while Afghanistan’s exports to Iran grew by 116%, reaching $54 million.
Officials from both Iran and Afghanistan have emphasized expanding economic cooperation, joint investments, and reducing trade barriers.
