During the “Central Asia–Japan” conference in Japan, Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev emphasized the importance of Afghanistan’s role in regional cooperation, stating that Afghanistan continues to be a key part of regional interactions. He noted that stability in Afghanistan and constructive engagement with the Islamic Emirate could create opportunities for the development of the country and the entire region. The conference was attended by representatives from the five Central Asian countries—Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan—as well as Japan. The main aim of the meeting was to expand bilateral cooperation and discuss regional issues.
