Following the fall of Bashar al-Assad’s regime in Syria, Turkey has reopened its embassy in the country’s capital, Damascus.
The Turkish embassy in Damascus resumed operations yesterday after 12 years, the Anadolu Agency reported.
According to the report, Burhan Koroglu, Turkey’s ambassador to Mauritania, has been appointed as the charge d’affaires of the embassy.
