Reports indicate that the number of casualties from the earthquake on Friday in Myanmar has risen to 694, with another 1,670 people injured.
According to Reuters, Myanmar’s military government stated in a declaration that infrastructure such as roads, bridges, and buildings have been affected, leading to casualties and injuries among the population.
The statement added that search and rescue operations are currently ongoing in the affected areas.
