The construction of a new township has begun in the Karan and Manjan district of Badakhshan province.
According to Bakhtar News Agency, the district governor of Karan and Manjan stated during the inauguration ceremony that the township will be built in coordination with the Badakhshan provincial administration, with engineering support from the Extraordinary Brigade of the Ministry of Defense. The project will cover an area of 3 kilometers and will provide suitable locations for all government offices.
