The South Korean Fire Agency has released the final figures for the airplane accident at “Muan” International Airport in the southwest of the country, reporting that 179 people have died, and only two crew members have survived.
According to the French news agency, the South Korean Fire Agency stated that among the 179 victims, the bodies of 65 individuals have been identified.
The accident occurred on Sunday morning (December 29), when a passenger plane carrying 175 passengers and six crew members went off the runway during its landing at Muan International Airport, crashed into a wall, and then caught fire.
Earlier, officials had confirmed the deaths of 122 people in the incident.
This is the fourth airplane accident to occur in the past week in various countries around the world.
