decided to convene a high-level meeting to assess the security situation and law and order in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
According to reports, the meeting is expected to discuss and make a decision on declaring an emergency in 12 districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Pakistani media reported that the meeting will be chaired by Shehbaz Sharif at the Prime Minister’s Office in Islamabad. Senior federal ministers and officials from the Ministry of Interior are expected to attend.
Officials from the Ministry of Interior are scheduled to present a report on the security situation and law and order in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during the meeting.
