Haji Fazl-ul-Rabbi, head of the Salang Highway Maintenance Department, discussed establishing separate firefighting services in the northern and southern sections of the Salang Pass during a meeting with Hafiz Noorullah Ansar, head of the General Directorate of Firefighting.
According to the information, the Ministry of Interior has also acknowledged the need for separate firefighting services in both sections and has instructed the General Directorate of Firefighting to deploy fire trucks and personnel in the northern and southern Salang areas until specialized firefighting vehicles are provided.
The purpose of this decision is to ensure timely emergency response in the event of incidents, provide assistance to affected people, and improve preparedness for potential emergencies along the highway.
