Unknown gunmen have kidnapped at least 20 Pakistani police officers on a road between the Kalat and Mastung districts of Pakistan’s Balochistan province.
According to government officials, the kidnapped officers were travelling from Kalat to Nushki yesterday to attend a recruitment centre when gunmen stopped their vehicle in a mountainous area known as Gurgina and took them away.
Reports indicate that the gunmen released the driver and several other passengers during the incident.
Meanwhile, security forces have launched efforts to locate and rescue the kidnapped police officers.
No armed group has claimed responsibility for the incident so far, and no further information has been released about the fate of the abducted officers.
