U.S. President Donald
Trump says the war with Iran could end whenever he wants, but insists that Tehran must commit to never acquiring nuclear weapons.
Al Jazeera reported today that Trump made these remarks during an election rally in Lubbock, Texas.
“Someone asked me before when the war in Iran would end. I said, ‘Whenever I want it to end,’” Trump said.
He added that the war could end “very quickly,” but stressed that it must end in a way that ensures Iran explicitly declares that it will never acquire nuclear weapons.
