The Nawaz Muslim League party, led by former Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, and its allies have announced that they will form a new coalition government and end the uncertainty that followed last week’s election.
In this election, no party was able to achieve the majority in parliament, which is necessary to form a government.
This announcement was made following the gathering of all the opposition parties of former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan in Islamabad.
This gathering was organized by Pakistan People’s Party or Pakistan People’s Party led by former President Asif Ali Zardari and Nawaz Muslim League led by Nawaz Sharif.
Shahbaz Sharif, the brother of Nawaz Sharif, who was given the reins of affairs after the removal of Imran Khan, also participated in this gathering.
Shahbaz Sharif did not say in a joint press conference with other politicians who will be nominated to lead the coalition government, but Maryam Aurangzeb, a spokesperson for the Muslim League-Nawaz party, told Geo TV that the future government will be led by Shahbaz Sharif.
Imran Khan, who is in jail, rejected the offer of coalition government and said that his party will never talk with Muslim League and People’s Party.
