Shahbaz Sharif of the Muslim League Nawaz party became the Prime Minister of Pakistan by winning 201 votes in the National Assembly.
Omar Ayub, another candidate for this position from the Sunni coalition, which has the support of the Tehreek-e-Insaf Imran party, won 92 votes.
Shahbar Sharif was a joint candidate of two parties, Muslim League Nawaz and Pakistan People’s Party.
