Asif Ali Zardari, one of the leaders of the Pakistan People’s Party, won the presidency of Pakistan for the second time by getting the most votes from the national and state assemblies. Zardari first served as the President of Pakistan from 2008 to 2013. In the afternoon of Saturday, March 9, the Independent Election Commission of Pakistan announced that Zardari will be the president of Pakistan for the next five years after winning 411 votes.
