More than 250 Afghan migrant families were deported or voluntarily returned from Pakistan and Iran in one day.
Bakhtar News Agency reported that over 250 families arrived in Afghanistan on Sunday, May, 26th, from Pakistan and Iran.
According to the report, 24 families entered Afghanistan through the Torkham crossing, and 68 families entered through the Spin Boldak border.
Meanwhile, 98 families returned via the Islam Qala route in Herat, and 75 other migrant families returned through the Silk Road crossing in Nimroz province.
The previous day, Pakistan and Iran also deported or facilitated the voluntary return of 249 migrant families.
The forced deportation of Afghan families from neighbouring countries has been a growing concern. Many of these families are fleeing conflict and persecution, only to face the threat of deportation back to a country still grappling with instability.
