The Trump administration announced that it has reached an agreement with China on a framework deal regarding TikTok and the continuation of this social media platform’s operation in the United States. After years of negotiations and efforts, this deal is finally on the verge of being finalized.

According to reports, U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said a framework agreement has been achieved, and Trump will meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping on Friday to finalize the details of the contract.

Meanwhile, Chinese and American diplomats met this week in Spain for trade talks and related issues. Bessent, who led the latest round of trade negotiations with China, emphasized that TikTok was one of the main focuses of the talks, and the goal of the agreement is to ensure mutual benefits and full compliance with U.S. national security.

Mr. Bessent stated: “President Trump played a key role in this process. We spoke with him last night, received clear instructions, and shared them with Chinese officials. Without his leadership and influence, we could not have reached this agreement today.”
