Amid rising tensions between Iran and the United States, Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has urged both sides to honor the commitments outlined in their memorandum of understanding and work toward maintaining regional stability.
According to a report by Al Jazeera published today, Sharif expressed concern over the escalating tensions between Tehran and Washington during a phone call with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian.
The Pakistani prime minister stressed the “urgent need to restore peace and stability in the region” and emphasized the importance of adhering to the commitments contained in the memorandum of understanding signed by Iran and the United States last month.
