According to the World Bank’s latest report, the poverty rate in Pakistan reached 29 percent during 2024 and 2025, with approximately 72.6 million people living below the poverty line in 2024.

The report indicates that more than 57.6 million Pakistanis live on less than three US dollars a day. The World Bank has identified rising prices, economic stagnation, and declining household incomes as some of the major factors contributing to the increase in poverty.
