International flights have resumed once again from Tehran’s Imam Khomeini International Airport. Iranian media reported that the first flights were operated to several Middle Eastern cities, including Medina, Muscat, and Istanbul.

Iran’s airspace had been largely closed since February 28 due to tensions with the United States and Israel, causing passenger flights to be suspended for nearly two months. Officials say that following a ceasefire agreement and recent political developments, conditions have been made favorable for the resumption of air travel.
