With the arrival of spring, Dasht-e Abdan in Kunduz province has once again come to life. The mild weather, clear skies, and lush green fields have turned this area into one of the most popular tourist destinations in the northeastern region of the country.

In recent days, thousands of citizens—not only from Kunduz but also from provinces such as Nangarhar, Baghlan, Takhar, Balkh, Kandahar, and Samangan—have flocked to this plain to spend a few joyful days in the heart of nature. Families bring food and drinks with them, children play and enjoy themselves, and the overall mood is festive and relaxed.

Samiullah, a resident of Nangarhar who has come to Dasht-e Abdan with his family, told Kunduz Radio: “We came here to spend a few days with the family in the fresh air and green nature of Abdan. Everything is calm and pleasant.”

Meanwhile, Hamed, a tourist from Baghlan province, said: “By the grace of God, the atmosphere in Dasht-e Abdan has become very beautiful. We visited last year as well, but this year the crowd is larger, and fortunately, the security is better. We hope that peace and security continue so we can enjoy our leisure time without worry.”

At the same time, Jamaluddin Khaksar, the spokesperson for the Kunduz police command, said: “We assure all our noble and mujahid-loving people that they can celebrate in a secure environment.
Anyone who fires gunshots into the air or disturbs public order will face serious legal consequences.”

It is worth mentioning that the open spaces, green meadows, and the smiles of children are what define the current face of Dasht-e Abdan. Residents of Kunduz say they hope this peaceful and joyful environment continues throughout the spring holidays.
