More than 900 Afghan migrant families have returned to the country from various routes through Pakistan and Iran.
The High Commission for Addressing Migrants’ Issues informed Bakhtar News Agency that 902 Afghan migrant families—comprising 3,910 individuals—have been forcibly returned via Torkham in Nangarhar, Spin Boldak in Kandahar, Islam Qala in Herat, Abrisham in Nimroz, Angur Ada in Paktika, Bahramcha in Helmand, and other border crossing points.
The commission added that necessary services have been provided to these returnees by its committees.
It also noted that, after registration and biometric verification, SIM cards and some cash have been distributed to them, and steps have been taken to facilitate their transportation to their respective provinces.
