The Kandahar Department of Communications and Information Technology announced that Afghan Telecom’s Wi-Fi services have been reactivated in the province.

Norullah Nuri, head of Kandahar’s Communications and Information Technology Department, told Ariana News that several offices and institutions, including banks, have been reconnected to the network and can now carry out their daily operations normally.

He added that these internet services have not been activated through fiber optics, but rather through a Point-to-Point (P2P) system.

The P2P internet system is a dedicated wireless connection that securely links two or more locations directly via radio waves, without the need for cabling or public internet use.
