Donald Trump, the President of the United States, said he is aware of a “Pakistani attack on Afghanistan” and that resolving such disputes is “an easy task” for him.

Speaking to reporters late Friday night at the White House, Mr. Trump did not provide details about how or when he would resolve the war, but added: “I know that Pakistan has attacked Afghanistan or is engaged in a war with Afghanistan. If I need to solve this problem, it’s easy for me to solve. At the same time, I have to run the United States. But I like resolving conflicts. Do you know why? Because I want to stop people from being killed, and I have saved the lives of millions. And I think we will win in this war.”

Earlier, during his trip to the Middle East, President Trump had also said he would resolve the clashes between the Islamic Emirate forces and the Pakistani regime.

The U.S. president’s promise to resolve tensions between Afghanistan and Pakistan comes as the Pakistani regime carried out airstrikes in Paktika province after a 48-hour ceasefire ended.

According to reports, Pakistan’s strikes in Paktika province have killed at least 17 civilians and wounded 16 others.

The Afghanistan Cricket Board announced that three cricket players are among the victims, a fact that has prompted a widespread reaction from athletes and activists.
