More than 800 Afghan refugee families have returned to the country through various border crossings from Pakistan and Iran.
The High Commission for Refugee Affairs informed Bakhtar News Agency that a total of 814 Afghan refugee families, comprising 4,222 individuals who were forcibly deported, have returned via the border points of Torkham in Nangarhar, Spin Boldak in Kandahar, Islam Qala in Herat, Abrisham in Nimroz, Angur Ada in Paktika, Bahramcha in Helmand, and other crossings.
The Commission added that necessary services were provided to these returnees by the respective committees in charge of registration, identification and reception, transportation and relocation, financial affairs, healthcare, and communication.
It also stated that, following registration and biometric processing, the returnees were given a certain amount of cash and SIM cards, and arrangements were made for their transfer to their respective provinces.
